Mr Ip Chit Hoo 葉哲豪老師 is my mentor and my inspiration. Mr Ip was my arts teacher in my primary school years, teaching me sketching and poster colour painting at St Louis School in Hong Kong. During those years, Mr Ip inspirited me and cultivated my interest in arts in particular the Chinese landscape painting. From Form 1 (Year 7) onwards, I started to pursue Chinese painting arts with Mr Ip at school and at his studio during school holidays. After I graduated from university I attended weekly private lessons from Mr Ip at his studio until I moved to Sydney in 1990. He was very dedicated with his teaching and introduced me to the styles and works of old Chinese painting masters of all ages. Mr Ip followed faithfully the traditional styles of the artists of the Yuan Dynasty and the Ming Dynasty. I am most grateful to Mr Ip for teaching me and introducing me to this vast treasure of Chinese arts and culture. Mr Ip passed away peacefully after a long illness on 17 January 2020, 5 days from turning 102. We sadly missed Mr Ip.

The following three paintings are parts of the Myriad Landscape Series 萬山圖系列.
