Two Sketches of Sunrise Peak of Jeju Island, South Korea

The actual name of Sunrise Peak (城山日出峯) is Seongsan Ilchulbong. It is a typical tuff cone formed by hydrovolcanic eruptions upon a shallow sea bed about 5 thousand years ago. It is situated on the eastern seaboard of Jeju Island (濟州島). Sunrise Peak is said to resemble a gigantic ancient castle. This tuff cone is 182 meters high, has a preserved bowl-like crater and also displays diverse inner structures resulting from the sea cliff.
The two sketches were specially drawn for my two new friends Jessica and Mandy whom I met in my recent tour to Jeju Island. My wife and I had a nice holiday there and I am going to paint more pictures of the amazing seashores and coastlines of the island.
