For many centuries the Chinese people have decorated their homes during the Chinese New Year (CNY) with brightly-coloured pictures printed on paper by woodblock painting. Thank you so much for the interesting history. I have no idea of the term “Niahua” and more interestingly is that this tradition survives the different political agenda and regimes. It is in our national DNA !
